The Grace Lutheran bell choir, Praises Ring, meets weekly, on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. We ring about once a month at both the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. worship service and often at festival liturgies, as well. The choir regularly plays level 3 - 5 music on a five-octave set of Schulmerich handbells and a six-octave set of Malmark Choirchimes®. A small ensemble meets ad hoc in the summer time and presents special music during the liturgy.
The adult vocal choir meets Wednesday evenings (part of the Life Together programming) from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Director Timothy Zerlang's style fosters a fun, relaxed atmosphere in rehearsals as he shares his love of music through teaching, directing, and inspiring the choir to sing for the glory of God.
The choir presents music in support of the liturgy at the 8:30 or 10:45 a.m. worship service three out of four Sundays each month, drawing repertoire from sacred music of all genre, whether accompanied or a capella.
We are blessed with a strong children’s music program developed by Kären Salveson. The chidren meet with Kären on Wednesday evenings following dinner - as part of the 'Life Together' program, and provide music for the worship service one Sunday each month. In addition the children form the core of the annual Christmas dinner theatre event, and may perform in a musical production in the spring.
Rehearsals begin after Labor Day |
