Summer 2012 CMT Musicals:

Session 1A and 1B
1A: 9 am - 12 noon
1B: 1 - 4 pm

June 11 to 22, 2012
Soul Survivor

Performances:
June 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m.

In this wacky courtroom drama, a young person sues society for the gross neglect of the soul. A physiology lesson ensues as the heart, brain, and senses and other body parts testify with crazy songs and dances. The court determines that the soul is bigger than the sum of the parts. But there is a glimmer of hope; for even this weary soul can be found and revived with the gift of unconditional love.

Session 2
9 am - 4 pm

July 23 to 27, 2012
Promised Land

Performance: July 27 at 7:30 p.m.

A fairytale parable of Moses' Exodus from Egypt. Old McDonald, his farmhands, and a whole barnyard of bickering animals are looking for a bigger farm that will help them to live together contentedly. Meanwhile, in another part of town, Hilda and Wee Willie Winkie are raising their large brood in a very small shoe. These characters come together to ask Old King Cole to allow them to leave his kingdom. With his power at stake, Old King Cole at first refuses to release them from his Kingdom, then Hilda and Willie's children plague him into submission. With freedom granted they take their exodus and after a forty-day search find the Promised Land. Unfortunately, an expansive yard and home does not curtail the bickering and they come to the realization that the problems don't stem from where they are, but rather who they are.

Session 3A and 3B
3A: 9 am - 12 noon
3B: 1 - 4 pm

July 30 to August 10, 2012
The Greatest Treasure

Performances:
August 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.

One of our favorite oldies (but such a goodie), The Greatest Treasure celebrates and cultivates a respect for the sea, one of our greatest God-given treasures. What summer would be complete without being a pirate or mermaid, angel fish or orca, octopus or crabbie? And then there are the horrible, (but oh-so-fun-to-be), GARBAGIOS! This play is a joyful rollick with nine great original songs, spectacular costumes, and unforgettable characters. Whether you've been in this musical before or you've never had the chance, performing in The Greatest Treasure is a childhood experience that shouldn't be missed!

Session 4
9 am - 4 pm

August 13 to 17, 2012
I'm Blessed

Performance: August 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Every child possesses unique gifts, but some are subtle. Our protagonist Aaron/Erin has no apparent talent, at least
none of the 'obvious good ones.' But in a world where tough guys expose their passion for embroidery or reveal
dreams of becoming a librarian, one learns that everyone possesses diverse interests. As the play and the session
unfold, the children will see the value of quieter gifts like loving well, listening intently, and being a good friend.
